NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. – February 6, 2014 (SDG MEDIAWIRE) –  The Mobile Electronics Retailers Association (MERA), premier representative of aftermarket in-vehicle technology retailers, announced a call for speakers for the upcoming KnowledgeFest tradeshow and seminar. The industry exclusive event will be held August 16-19 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. Accomplished retailers, installation professionals, sales experts, consultants and experienced affiliates are invited to present their credentials along with suggested topics that will make up the teaching and presentation elements of KnowledgeFest.

KnowledgeFest’s teaching seminars are divided into three tracks to target owners and managers, sales professionals and installation technicians. Each comprises several sessions that focus on bite-sized topics that can be quickly integrated into a store’s existing operations.

Applicants are required to fill out a questionnaire that requests relevant industry expertise and accomplishments, prior teaching experience and an overview of the topics they want to cover. In addition, applicants can suggest additional topics outside their area of expertise that they feel will be a value to KnowledgeFest attendees.

“KnowledgeFest is 100 percent focused on bettering the businesses of our industry’s retail businesses,” said Chris Cook, president of MERA. “It’s our commitment to have retail and installation professionals leave with potent knowledge that they can implement to see an immediate improvement in their stores. And while part of that expertise comes from experts outside of our industry, a large part must come from those within the industry who have experienced success in management, sales and installation endeavors. This peer-based instruction not only gives other professionals firsthand information, it also motivates them to succeed because one of their own has done it.”
