Following is an overview of KENWOOD’s new product and technology offerings to be introduced during the 2017 CES in Las Vegas. PLEASE NOTE that this is not a press release. Please use the information for your pre-show technology coverage.
Important Notes:
• THE KENWOOD exhibit will be located at Booth #4602 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

2017 Line-Up Highlights
• New eXcelon XR600-6DSP Advanced OEM Integration 6-channel amplifier: Includes built-in DSP and equalization; 75 x 6 (corrected) watts RMS; ability to capture audio signals before factory amplifier, resulting in cleaner output and retention of factory notifications.
• New KENWOOD DMX7704S Digital Media Receiver: Double-DIN mech-less design; supports Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™; connects to new DRV-N520 Dashboard Camera.
• New DRV-N520 Dashboard Camera: High-resolution dash camera with DVR, collision warning and delay departure notification; connect to new DMX7704S receiver to display camera views and warnings, as well as control DRV-N520 from the multimedia receiver.

2017 Key Technologies
• Remote App: Free wireless phone app (available from App Store or Google Play) that enables control of a compatible KENWOOD receiver through the smartphone via Bluetooth®. Users can view source information and change audio settings in addition to source control, and use the app as a standalone music player when not connected to the receiver.
• High-Resolution Audio Support: Music playback at 192khz /24 bit. Also, supports Direct Stream Digital codec over USB.
• KENWOOD Music Mix: Stream content on a compatible receiver via Bluetooth from up to 5 simultaneously connected wireless devices.
• Enhanced iDataLink Maestro Integration: 3rd party radar; park assist; indicators for climate, vehicle information gear shift; speaker selection for warning tones.
Additional Improvements
• 5-Volt pre-amp outputs on all 2017 KENWOOD eXcelon receivers.
• Digital Time Alignment: Set audio from each speaker to reach the listener’s ears at the same time. Available on all 2017 receivers with Bluetooth.
• Clear resistive touch panel on all receivers not equipped with capacitive touch panels.
• Alphabet-based search functionality.

Receivers Overview
CD Receivers: KENWOOD is introducing 12 new CD receivers for the U.S. market; 9 in the KENWOOD line, 3 in the KENWOOD eXcelon line. MSRPs for the new models start at $80. Of these, 8 models are currently shipping. The remainder will ship within the first quarter of 2017. The total number of CD receivers for 2017 is 21.
Multimedia Receivers: KENWOOD is introducing 7 new multimedia receivers for the U.S. market; 4 in the KENWOOD line; 3 in the KENWOOD eXcelon line. MSRPs for the new models start at $280. Of these, 5 models are currently shipping. The remainder will ship in the first quarter of 2017. The total number of multimedia receivers for 2017 is 11.
Digital Media Receivers: KENWOOD is introducing 3 new digital media receivers for the U.S. market. MSRPs for the new models start at $100. All will ship in the first quarter of 2017. The total number of multimedia receivers for 2017 is 4.
Navigation-Equipped Multimedia Receivers: The current lineup of 5 KENWOOD navigation-equipped multimedia receivers will continue through 2017; 3 in the KENWOOD line, 2 in the KENWOOD eXcelon line. MSRPs start at $600.
Marine / Motorsports Receivers: KENWOOD is introducing 3 new marine / motorsports receivers for the U.S. market; one of which is a digital media receiver. All replace previous models. MSRPs for the new models start at $130. Of these, 1 model is currently shipping. The remainder will ship within the first quarter of 2017. The total number of marine / motorsports receivers for 2017 is 3.
Safety / Driver Assistance
KENWOOD is introducing the DRV-N520 Dashboard Camera to join the standalone DRV-410. The DRV-N520 is specifically designed to interface with the new DMX7704S Digital Media Receiver, enabling display of camera view, warnings and notifications on the resistive touch panel screen as well as control of its various features. The DRV-N520 will ship within the first quarter of 2017.
Amplifiers

• Built-In DSP: KENWOOD eXcelon XR600-6DSP features 6 channels, 13-band equalizer, 3-point parametric EQ, digital crossover network, 10-channel time alignment.
• Signal-Sensing Turn-On Inputs: Provide better compatibility for radios without remote turn-on signal.
• Dual Power Suppliers and High-End Capacitors: Ensures more constant power output.
• Dual Sigma Drive Technology: Improves accuracy and sound quality.
Amplifiers Overview
KENWOOD is introducing 4 new amplifiers for the U.S. market; 2 in the KENWOOD line, 2 in the KENWOOD eXcelon line. MSRPs for the new models start at $100. All models will ship within the first quarter of 2017. The total number of amplifiers for 2017 is 18.
Speakers

• Serial Numbers: Applicable to all new KENWOOD eXcelon speakers to deter transshipping.
• Lower tweeter mounting height: Enables fit in more vehicle applications.
• Improved Diaphragm: Larger size, new materials for enhanced midrange and deeper bass.
Speakers Overview
KENWOOD is introducing 6 new speaker sets for the U.S. market; 2 in the KENWOOD line, 4 in the KENWOOD eXcelon line. 3 models are component packages. MSRPs for the new models start at $100. Of these, 2 models are currently shipping. The remainder will ship within the first quarter of 2017. The total number of speakers for 2017 is 32.
Subwoofers
The current lineup of 22 KENWOOD subwoofers will continue through 2017; 11 in the KENWOOD line, 11 in the KENWOOD eXcelon line. MSRPs start at $100.
